Create and manage folders in Yahoo Mail

Don't let a flood of messages add more stress to your already busy life! Create, rename, move, and delete folders with ease in Yahoo Mail to keep your email organized and manageable.

Create a folder

  1. Near the bottom of the left column, mouse over "Folders."
  2. Click the Create a Folder icon New Folder icon.
  3. Enter a new folder name.
  4. Press Enter.

Create a subfolder

  1. Mouse over the folder you want to add a subfolder to.
  2. Right-click on PC or control-click on Mac to show folder options.
  3. Select Create subfolder.
  4. Enter a new subfolder name.
  5. Press Enter.

Move a folder or subfolder

  1. Mouse over the folder or subfolder you want to move.
  2. Right-click on PC or control-click on Mac to show folder options.
  3. Select Move folder.
  4. Choose where you want the folder to go.

Delete a folder or subfolder

  1. Mouse over the folder you want to delete.
  2. Right-click on PC or control-click on Mac to show folder options.
  3. Select Delete folder.

Rename a folder or subfolder

  1. Mouse over the folder you want to rename.
  2. Right-click on PC or control-click on Mac to show more folder options.
  3. Select Rename folder.
  4. Edit the folder's name.
  5. Press Enter.
